LSSC Adjunct Instructors ignite the minds of our varied student body through dynamic lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on experiences.Join us in shaping the future of our students by fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment grounded in LSSC's core values: Communication, Collaboration, Care, and Celebrate!The passion for your expertise catalyzes a dynamic educational journey for our students and their future success.Essential Duties & Responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to the following:<ul><li>Plan and carry out instructional duties that maximize learning by students.</li><li>Supervise students in accordance with program procedures, academic, and course-related concerns.</li><li>Teach assigned courses in accordance with course descriptions.</li><li>Assist with registration and/or recruitment when requested.</li><li>Syllabus must be submitted by the designated date according to LSSC policy and Florida State Board Rule.</li><li>Ensure that each student receives a course syllabus detailing performance objectives, course expectations, grading procedures, withdrawal and attendance policies, and faculty office phone and email contact information.</li><li>Attend all scheduled or called meetings by the President or Vice President of Academic Affairs, LSSC supervisor, unless excused by the administrator in charge.</li><li>Teach all classes for the full period as scheduled.</li><li>Evaluate student progress and achievement with clear methods presented on the course syllabus.</li><li>Utilizes evaluation results for planning, instruction, counseling, and program modification.</li><li>Keep accurate and up-to-date records.</li><li>Submit grade reports and other required data on or before the deadline dates.</li><li>Resolve discipline problems within the sphere of responsibility.</li><li>Assist and counsel students as needed.</li><li>Utilize the material and equipment necessary to accomplish designated tasks.</li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of current instructional developments.</li><li>Regularly examine the content of assigned courses and recommend changes to the LSSC supervisor if needed.
