Long-Lewis of Hoover is looking for an Automotive Detail Technician who’s ready to grow, perform advanced diagnostics, and be part of a strong, customer-focused service department.<h3>What You’ll Do</h3><ul><li>Perform accurate vehicle diagnostics including check engine lights, drivability issues, warning indicators, and electrical problems.</li><li>Conduct repairs and maintenance, but primarily diagnose on all makes and models—everything from brake jobs to suspension work and basic services.</li><li>Use diagnostic tools (scan tools, multimeters, etc.) to identify issues and recommend proper repair procedures.</li><li>Collaborate with service advisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow and clear communication.</li><li>Document all work performed and findings accurately and thoroughly.</li><li>Adhere to safety and manufacturer repair guidelines.</li><li>Keep your workspace organized and tools maintained.</li></ul><h3>What We’re Looking For</h3><ul><li>5+ years of professional technician experience in a dealership or high-volume shop.</li><li>Master Technician Certification required.</li><li>Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Proficiency with diagnostic scan tools and interpreting codes.</li><li>ASE certifications a plus but not required.</li><li>Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.</li></ul><h3>Pay & Benefits</h3><ul><li>Flat Hour Rate (FHR): $50–$60/hour, based on experience & certifications</li><li>Monday–Friday Schedule – No Weekends</li><li>Full Benefits Package including:</li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>401(k) with company match</li><li>Paid time off (PTO) and holidays</li><li>Ongoing training and development opportunities</li><li>Uniforms and potential tool allowance</li></ul>
