Must be familiar with one or more Interior Communications (IC) systems: • MC (General Announcing/Mass Communications) • HYDRA (Hierarchical Yet Dynamically Reprogrammable Architecture) • IVN (Integrated Voice Network) • IVCN (Integrated Voice Communications Network) • SATCC (Shipboard Air Traffic Control Communications) • SIWCS (Shipwide Inter Wireless Communication System) • Must be able to access government installations by obtaining and maintaining a Biometric Defense Identification System (DBIS) credential to perform work on-board US Naval vessels or government assigned work. • Cable installations including banding, terminal boxes, connection boxes, connectors, equipment, penetrations, cableways, hangers and associated components • MCT, MCP, and Stuffing Tube opening, packing, closing and testing • Bonding and Grounding of Electrical Equipment • NSI 009-25 - Air testing of penetrations • Electrical troubleshooting and testing, using multimeters, and megohmmeters • Must have experience assisting with troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, and repairing electrical distribution systems and its associated equipment and cabling.
