Our ideal candidate has experience on highway, road and bridge projects throughout NJ with agencies such as NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, DRPA, DRJTBC, and/or experience with Local County and State agencies. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Coordinate and observe construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.</li></ul><ul><li>Document all on-site observations of construction progress such as equipment, manpower, and materials on a Daily Inspection Report and various other reports when required.</li></ul><ul><li>Proactively communicate with the contractor and the client to progress the project in a timely manner to meet the project goals. </li></ul>Job Requirements:<ul><li>NICET III-IV Certification or Valid Professional Engineers license in the State of New Jersey is required.    </li><li>7+ years of experience in construction inspection </li><li>EIT or B.S. in Civil Engineering is a plus</li><li>ACI, NJSAT, TCC, CCTC, and/or OSHA 10 Preferred.</li><li>Proficiency in reading blueprints, plans, and specifications, as well as familiarity with inspection tools and software.</li><li>Experience with inspection of Federal-aid projects and relevant certifications is not required but is a plus.</li><li>Experience with bridge construction is a plus.</li><li>Experience with NJTA Capex or NJDOT Site Manager is not required but is a plus.</li><li>Able to work overtime, some nights, or weekends as needed.</li><li>Ability to drive to and from, on, or around a project site during all times of the day.</li><li>Strong organization and communication skills.</li><li>Valid Driver's License</li></ul>Pay Range: $35/hour to $70/hourDon't meet every qualification or skill in the description?  That's ok!  We are fully committed to expanding our staff and culture to best serve our clients and our communities.  If you are interested in this position but don't completely align with every qualification listed, we encourage you to apply.  You may be what we are looking for this role or maybe for another open position. At TPD we exist to improve the quality of life for the public, and are dedicated to Moving Forward Together®

Position Summary: The position will coordinate residential and commercial fiber construction. This position will own construction projects from start to finish. The coordinator will survey locations, identify permitting requirements, put together BOM’s and Notice-To-Proceed (NTP) packages for contractors, troubleshoot on-site as necessary, perform QC, verify as-builts, and ensure the quality of work performed meets established technical standards and company policies. Ensure all as-built data and bore logs are provided to the documentation team to be inputted into Vetro. Provide weekly reporting to internal and external departments. Define architecture, equipment needs, costs and variables. Create Bill of Materials (BOM’s) for all projects. Request PO’s and complete project on time and on budget. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Project coordination between customers and all internal and external departments</li><li>Obtain permits and easements for construction, aerial and underground when required</li><li>Take ownership of projects from start to finish delivering a quality service to the customer</li><li>Conduct field surveys of existing or proposed outside plant installations including aerial and underground network facilities</li><li>Field verification of all construction activities meeting design specifications</li><li>Submit reports on all construction activity, daily, weekly, and monthly as required</li><li>Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards</li><li>Monitor subcontractor quality and safety performance</li><li>Full accountability in safety, productivity, quality, workmanship, and customer service</li><li>Order, manage and deliver materials to contract construction company</li><li>Verify work-in-progress report</li><li>Design route path and building entry for service delivery</li><li>Assign work to subcontractor leadership team and approving final billing</li><li>Modify design schematics to "as built" documentation</li><li>Ensure customer satisfaction by providing quality service and identifying customer needs</li></ul>  Qualifications: <ul><li>A minimum of five years’ telecommunications construction experience required</li><li>High school diploma required; two-year degree preferred</li><li>Must be available and willing to respond to the needs of a 24/7 operation</li><li>Must be able to work emergency schedules during natural disasters and network outages</li><li>Must be willing and able to work mandatory overtime after hours and weekends and remain in service during outages until resolved</li><li>Work independently using sound judgement on all projects</li><li>Ability to solve problems with little or no direction</li><li>Proficient in Excel and Word</li><li>Ability to multi-task</li><li>Computer skills sufficient to learn new applications and systems</li><li>Use excellent hearing and listening skills to receive detailed information</li><li>Experience with walk-out surveys, design, budgeting and creating BOM’s to include GPON is required</li><li>Experience managing contractor relationships and coordinating multi-site construction projects</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E) preferred</li><li>Ability to drive during nighttime and adverse weather conditions</li><li>Must have close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus with good hand-eye coordination</li><li>Must have a valid driver’s license with a clear MVR</li><li>Must be able to pass standard background check and drug screening</li><li>Must be able to lift 25 pounds repeatedly</li><li>Must be able and willing to climb ladders up to 28ft</li><li>Must be able and willing to work in adverse weather conditions</li><li>Flexibility to work mandatory overtime to meet business needs</li><li>Maintain vehicle in a clean and professional manner</li><li>Dress in approved IQ Fiber clothing and arrive at work in a neat and professional manner</li></ul>Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
