Summary: Operates/inspects/performs preventative maintenance on major HVAC/hospital equipment, and repairs malfunctions if possible. Operates/performs routine maintenance of all Power House/major HVAC equipment. Monitors various hospital equipment from the control center. Responds to/mitigates/reports any building emergencies. Qualifications: Required: <ul><li>HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. </li><li>Documented completion of coursework/training focusing on stationary engineering, air conditioning, refrigeration, steam fitting, and/or electricity at an accredited school. </li><li>Possess a minimum of a 3rd Class Stationary Engineer's License for the State of Ohio. </li><li>4 years of documented experience as a Licensed Stationary Engineer. </li><li>Possess a current, valid Driver's License. </li><li>Ability to read and utilize blue prints. Solid problem solving skills, and able to use sound judgment. </li><li>Good interpersonal skills. </li><li>Basic personal computer skills. Basic math skills. </li><li>Ability to follow directions. </li><li>Ability to work independently/with minimal supervision, or as part of a team. </li><li>Willing and able to adjust from the standard work schedule as needed for operational coverage, including days that are not normally worked, and at locations not normally assigned. </li></ul> Preferred: <ul><li>Prior experience operating a 200 ton or larger capacity chiller(s). </li><li>8 years of experience as a Licensed Stationary Engineer. </li><li>Prior Healthcare industry experience. </li></ul> Physical Requirements: <ul><li>May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. </li><li>May need to sit or stand for extended periods. </li><li>See in the normal visual range with or without correction. </li><li>Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. </li><li>Ability to climb intermittently during the day. </li><li>Ability to push/pull 70-150 pounds. </li><li>Ability to lift 10-40 pounds. </li><li>Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. </li><li>Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.</li></ul>

Responsible for the day-to-day engineering needs of the hotel property. Handles day-to-day management of the engineering staff and reports any issues to the General Manager or Director of Engineering.Some of your responsibilities include:<ul><li>Builds, repairs, and paints all parts of the hotel.</li><li>Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with General Manager or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.</li><li>Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.</li><li>Installs and repairs electrical wiring and electronic components of machinery and equipment.</li><li>Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.</li><li>Fabricate and repair furniture and fixtures.</li><li>Attend all scheduled training classes and meetings.</li><li>Assist in delivery and set up of all new equipment such as televisions, mattresses, tables, chairs, etc.</li><li>Communicate with Director of Engineering on projects as assigned.</li><li>Respond or assign an engineer to respond to all customer requests in a timely and personable manner.</li><li>Supervise the shift engineers on day-to-day repairs and engineering needs on property.</li><li>Conduct daily checks on shift engineers daily work and makes suggestions and corrections as needed.</li><li>Work with the Director of Engineering to coordinate weekly work schedules.</li><li>Manage HotSOS requests and efficiency.</li></ul>What You Bring<ul><li>2 years related experience as a shift engineer at a full-service hotel.</li><li>Embody and value Kimpton culture.</li><li>Flexible schedule able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.</li></ul>Differences make a difference.
