<h2>Position Summary</h2>The Environmental Services Manager oversees housekeeping, laundry, sanitation, and infection prevention support services within a long-term care or skilled nursing facility. This role ensures the facility maintains a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors while complying with Indiana Department of Health regulations, OSHA standards, and CMS requirements.<h3>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h3><ul><li> Supervise daily housekeeping, laundry, and environmental services operations. </li><li> Develop and maintain cleaning schedules for resident rooms, common areas, offices, dining rooms, and clinical spaces. </li><li> Train, schedule, evaluate, and supervise environmental services staff. </li><li> Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures. </li><li> Monitor use and storage of cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials according to OSHA standards. </li><li> Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance. </li><li> Coordinate waste disposal, linen management, floor care, and deep-cleaning projects. </li><li> Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment. </li><li> Collaborate with nursing and maintenance departments to address resident and facility needs. </li><li> Participate in state surveys, audits, and corrective action plans as needed. </li><li> Manage departmental budgets and purchasing. </li><li> Respond promptly to emergency cleaning or sanitation issues. </li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li> High school diploma or GED required</li><li> Minimum of 2–5 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping, environmental services, or healthcare support services. </li><li> Experience in long-term care, healthcare, hospital, or skilled nursing environments preferred. </li><li> Knowledge of CMS, OSHA, CDC, and Indiana Department of Health regulations. </li><li> Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. </li><li> Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.</li></ul><ul></ul><h3>Physical Requirements</h3><ul><li> Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds. </li><li> Exposure to cleaning chemicals and healthcare environments. </li><li> Ability to respond quickly to spills, biohazards, or emergency sanitation situations.</li></ul><h3> </h3>
