Medcor is currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our employer-based clinic located within a manufacturing facility in Ottumwa, IA. Our providers value:<ul><li>Time with patients to deliver care the right way</li><li>Excellent work-life balance with flexible schedules</li><li>Strong team support from operations, technology, and clinical colleagues</li><li>Evidence-based medicine supported by established workflows</li><li>Transparent business model no insurance billing, no quotas, no referral pressure</li><li>Meaningful relationships with patients and client partners</li><li>Wellness-focused culture that supports you personally and professionally</li></ul>Position OverviewThe PA/NP will provide occupational health and acute onsite care while working collaboratively with:<ul><li>Medcor medical and operational leadership</li><li>Other Medcor associates</li><li>Key contacts within the clients corporate structure</li></ul>You will work closely with on-site medical staff and a Medcor-employed oversight physician, contributing to coordinated, team-based care for this client.Scope of Services<ul><li>Diagnosis and treatment of workers compensation injuries and illnesses</li><li>Urgent care services</li><li>Surveillance and regulatory exams</li><li>Preventive and wellness services</li></ul>A Typical Day Includes<ul><li>Providing high-quality clinical care and customer service</li><li>Treating injuries and illnesses using evidence-based standards</li><li>Building and maintaining strong internal team relationships</li><li>Collaborating with client health, safety, environmental, HR, and benefits professionals</li><li>Supporting wellness and preventative health initiatives</li><li>Documenting care using state-of-the-art EMR systems</li><li>Educating patients on medical conditions and treatment options</li><li>Coaching patients on healthy behaviors</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Valid, unrestricted Iowa license</li><li>Current DEA and BLS certifications</li><li>Strong computer skills and EMR experience</li><li>Positive, outgoing, and collaborative personality</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Commitment to outstanding customer service</li><li>Comfort working in an on-site clinic environment</li></ul>Preferred (Not Required)<ul><li>Occupational health experience</li><li>Previous work-site or employer-based clinic experience</li></ul>Culture & BenefitsWe dont just advocate for our clients and patientswe advocate for ourselves.
