Serves as shift liaison between leaders external to the Emergency Department, such as House Managers, MOI, MUPC, external agencies (ambulance service, law enforcement), and ancillary support departments (lab, radiology, etc) to ensure smooth departmental operations. * Acts as primary operational leader in emergent situations in the emergency department or external to the emergency department in coordination with the House Manager and AOD; situations may include mass casualty incidents, emergency decontamination events, emergency lockdowns, etc.
