This position works with agencies that can consistently generate new annual premiums accounts over $25,000. The Field Production Underwriter is responsible for underwriting, classing, rating, and binding risks in the field. This position must follow corporate underwriting and pricing guidelines to provide profitable commercial growth for the company.  This position is remote and in Indiana.  Essential Job Functions<ul><li>Maintains and develops professional working relationship with agents, loss control, rating and sales teams, and other corporate departments as needed</li><li>Produces desired commercial lines growth with profitable results</li><li>Qualifies, rates, and binds commercial risks for agencies</li><li>Makes consistent underwriting decisions that match commercial appetite and identified pricing guidelines</li><li>Works closely with Loss Control and Commercial Lines Departments to recommend risk improvements.</li><li>Monitors agency results for growth and profitability</li><li>Acts as a liaison between agents and the company</li><li>Researches and advises company of changes within the industry regarding new products, process improvements, and carrier philosophies</li><li>Travels to agencies within the state to assist in writing commercial risks</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned</li></ul> Education & Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field</li><li>5+ years of experience in underwriting, field underwriting</li><li>3+ years’ experience in underwriting or agency management, preferred</li></ul> Certifications & Licenses<ul><li>Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) preferred</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrated skill in:<ul><li>listening and communicating with the ability to speak in public</li><li>using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems</li></ul>Demonstrated ability to:<ul><li>analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines</li><li>maintain effective interpersonal relationships</li><li>establish program goals and objectives that support the strategic plan</li><li>work evenings, nights, and/or weekends as necessary</li><li>take initiative and work independently or with teams</li><li>maintain a positive image and build strong relationships</li></ul> Demonstrated knowledge of:<ul><li>Microsoft Office software</li></ul>  Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.    Pay Range: <ul><li>        $82,000 - $111,000 per year <ul><li>This range is based on the expected level of experience and skills for this position.
