We are looking for a Production Control Supervisor to join our team in Martinsburg, WV. The Production Control Supervisor with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials, will report to the Production Coordinator and oversee the daily activities of shift employees, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental guidelines. The PCS will also operate plant process lines and auxiliary equipment from a central location, with a focus on employee safety and the integrity of company assets.Why apply?<ul><li>Competitive wages.</li><li>Company provided benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Company paid life and disability benefits, paid vacation, and 401K.</li></ul>About the Role  <ul><li>Provide safety leadership for the shift, housekeeping, and operating equipment within environmental guidelines</li><li>Lead safety efforts during the shift and ensure compliance with environmental guidelines and regulations.</li><li>Perform all job functions safely and provide coaching to shift employees.</li><li>Manage employee performance, providing feedback and following the performance management cycle.</li><li>Troubleshoot issues, make operational decisions, and drive continuous improvement.</li><li>Ensure consistent production of cement, clinker, and raw mix within quality guidelines, addressing deviations as needed.</li><li>Analyze equipment performance to maintain reliability and product quality.</li><li>Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain an accurate shift log for all activities, including equipment downtime and product quality.</li><li>Complete the Control Room Operator Certification program and oversee the training of shift employees.</li><li>Manage resources efficiently, utilizing call-outs and contractors when necessary.</li><li>Serve as the senior site leader during off-hours and promote effective communication across shifts and departments.</li><li>Handle shift administrative tasks, including work orders and timesheet validation, while maintaining a professional attitude.</li></ul>About YouWe Require:<ul><li>3 years of control room experience in the industry or similar, with a good understanding of milling systems and kiln operations (preferred).</li><li>Must have computer skills and leadership capabilities.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to work effectively following all plant safety policies and safe work practices.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership skills and proven problem solving and analytical abilities.</li><li>Must be able to operate process computers and software </li><li>Solid computer skills working with applications such as Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes, Power Point, and Maximo.</li><li>Able and willing to work a rotating 12 hour schedule including weekends and holidays.</li><li>Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position.</li><li>Self-starter with sound judgment, positive attitude.</li></ul>About UsEach day brings new challenges, and we make sure you are prepared for it all. We are currently seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to join our team and contribute to the ongoing success of our facility in Frederick County, Virginia!About the Role: We are looking for a highly motivated individual as the Production Supervisor who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the production floor. This role involves supervising production staff, ensuring efficient and effective production processes, meeting all production needs and production targets, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. You will support the Plant Manager in monitoring and improving production productivity.The ideal candidate has experience leading food or dairy manufacturing production operations at scale, driving both operational excellence and employee engagement, and continuously improving processes within the production department. This is an onsite role, managing all Line and Packing Operators, based out of Winchester, VA.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Line and Packing Operators, ensuring effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to company policies and procedures. Foster a positive and high performing environment. Temporarily fill in or cover production roles in the event of absenteeism, emergency, or operational demand.</li><li>Oversee daily production activities, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation to meet production targets and deadlines. Set daily goals and objectives and drive safety, quality and efficiency initiatives. Participate in daily production meetings to remain informed and ensure that the assigned shift operations activities are aligned. Review CIP charts and process documentation to verify proper execution and compliance with the company, SQF, and regulatory standards. Identify and implement improvements to reduce waste and optimize throughput.</li><li>Ensure that products meet quality standards by working with quality, conducting regular inspections and addressing any deviations or defects promptly. Maintain compliance with food safety regulations.</li><li>Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and to enable proper food safety, conducting regular safety training and audits.</li><li>Identify and resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions and process inefficiencies, to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.</li><li>Prepare and analyze production reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to line efficiency, over-time, OOE, and safety, and provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements.</li><li>Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics to coordinate production activities and resolve any cross-functional issues.</li><li>Be willing to learn all major production positions within the facility, including line operations, batching, CIP procedures, packaging, and material handling.</li></ul>Qualifications & Experience:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering or related field preferred.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing production experience and 3 years of supervision experience. Dairy experience is a plus, but not required. Willingness to modify work responsibilities, as necessary, to meet the operational, regulatory, or business needs of the company.</li><li>Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Proficiency in production planning and scheduling.</li><li>Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.</li><li>Ability to analyze data and identify trends.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.</li><li>Proficient in computer applications, including production management software (e.g., ERP system like Sage) and standard office applications (e.g., MS Office).</li><li>Ability to work odd hours, weekends and rotating shift schedule required.</li></ul>We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. This role has a pay range of $70,000 - $85,000 annually. The pay range provided is an estimated base pay range for this role.
