She/he provides an outstanding customer experience to residents and families to ensure a high level of satisfaction.Essential Functions:<ul><li style="text-align:left">Transports residents to and from medical appointments, activities, and shopping errands using the community owned vehicle.</li><li style="text-align:left">Reads the transportation schedule daily and assures scheduled appointments can be met</li><li style="text-align:left">Partners with Program Director and other managers to schedule appointments for residents as needed</li><li style="text-align:left">Communicates effectively and timely if unable to make scheduled resident appointments</li><li style="text-align:left">Available for unscheduled transportation needs in an emergency</li><li style="text-align:left">Monitors resident activity and alerts staff when assistance is necessary to ensure resident safety</li><li style="text-align:left">Completes routine vehicle inspection checks and informs Program Director and/or Executive Director of any maintenance problems or safety issues that need to be addressed</li><li style="text-align:left">Ensures community vehicles are clean and tidy</li><li style="text-align:left">Is thoroughly familiar with fire, missing persons, and other emergency procedures</li><li style="text-align:left">Follows community policy and procedures detailed in fire and disaster plans</li><li style="text-align:left">Participates in department meetings as scheduled</li><li style="text-align:left">Completes required monthly in-services</li><li style="text-align:left">Completes other duties that are assigned by management team</li></ul>Compliance & Safety:<ul><li>Follows emergency procedures as trained and instructed</li><li>Understands safety practices and procedures including the safe operations of wheelchairs, lifts, and other assistive devices</li><li>Refrains from using cellular phones while transporting residents except during emergency situations.
