In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating MIG welding tools to work with 16-gauge sheet metal. <p><b>Job Description:</b><br/>Work location: 11711 Arrow Route ,Rancho Cucamonga,CA,US<br/>Shift: 2nd<br/>Schedule: 1pm-9:30pm, M-F<br/><br/>Contract-to-hire opportunity<br/>HM will do interviews and/or facility tours<br/><br/>Welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work instructions<br/>Verifies conformance of work piece to job order requirements<br/>Completes work orders as required<br/>Welds components in flat or vertical positions<br/>Ignites torches or starts power supplies and strikes arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded<br/>Detects faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notifies supervisors<br/>Clamps, holds, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolts component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding<br/>Operates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas, gas metal arc, and plasma arc, mig welding, stick welding, and brazing<br/>Monitors the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts of warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materials<br/>Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications<br/>Recognizes, set up, and operates hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc, mig, stick, and gas metal arc welding equipment<br/>Will lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies<br/>Follows safety rules; utilizes protective clothing and equipment<br/>Must have an understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions<br/>Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures<br/>Performs other duties as required.<br/><b><br/>Skill/Knowledge:</b><br/>High school diploma or GED and 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience<br/>Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization<br/>Ability to operate a forklift to approved O.S.H.A. standards<br/></p>
