An associate's degree with a major in architectural drafting technology, construction and building technology (carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, sheet metal, air conditioning, heating, etc.), plant management, civil engineering, electrical engineering technology, or electrical power engineering technology may be substituted for a maximum of one (1) year of the required experience. A certificate for completion of at least a two (2) year, or equivalent part-time, course of studies in a non-degree-granting program of a recognized technical school above the high school level with a major in architectural drafting technology, civil construction technology, or electronic maintenance technology may be substituted for a maximum of one (1) year of the required experience.
