Role Overview As a Cabinet Maker, you will play a key role in the production of custom wood and metal pieces. This hands-on position is perfect for someone who values detail, enjoys working in a collaborative team, and has a passion for creating high-quality, one-of-a-kind items. You will work closely with our skilled team to assemble, finish, and perfect pieces that meet our high standards and exceed client expectations. A Superintendent for BOWA (which we refer to as Project Manager internally) plays a key role in client communication and client satisfaction during the production phase of each residential remodeling project. The Project Manager (PM) is the field representative of BOWA who ultimately knows the most about a given project. It is his chief responsibility to manage the day to day construction activities at the jobsite. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: <ul><li>Complete Lead Carpenter responsibilities: <ul><li>Direct and manage other carpenters on site </li><li>Complete carpentry work by being "tools on" for the project </li><li>Own and maintain appropriate tools to complete the job </li></ul></li><li>Schedule and oversee building department inspections </li><li>Supervision of BOWA employees and subcontractors on a daily basis </li><li>Estimating material list quantities, getting lists to the Production Manager for pricing, oversee efficient use of the material and return of unused materials </li><li>Communicate and "manage" the client on a daily basis. Relay any important information from the client to the Production Manager </li><li>Schedule and oversee building department inspections </li><li>Keep informed as to the project as a whole including plans, change orders and specs </li><li>Maintain a two-week future schedule of jobsite events including: material delivery dates, daily work, manpower needed, and summary of subcontractor work scheduled and completed </li><li>Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with Production Manager, subcontractors, clients, and architects as necessary </li><li>Supervision of jobsite safety, cleanliness, security, and protection from damage during construction </li><li>Keep up to date plans with any changes. Disseminate this information to employees and subcontractors on the jobsite </li><li>Maintain a jobsite file folder containing all job related information including: work order, project specifications, change orders, subcontractor contracts or information, purchase orders, technical specs., architectural details, two week schedule and complete project schedule (prepared by Production Manager) </li><li>Attend quarterly training meetings in the office with all project managers and production managers </li><li>Use of computer as directed by Production Manager </li></ul>Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position. Requirements:<ul><li>Minimum of 4 years experience in Remodeling related work </li><li>Be able to communicate with others clearly. </li><li>Must have reliable transportation, tardiness is not acceptable. </li></ul> Schedule: Official work day: Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Overtime is occasionally necessary. Experience in aircraft cabinetry, local manufacturing procedures, and installation of components into aircraft using approved attachment points is desired.

Essential ResponsibilitiesPerforms maintenance modifications and repair of furnishings, cabinets, tables, bulkheads, wood trim, and other interior components. Uses maintenance instructions and technical data for inspection, maintenance, and repair on Special Mission aircraft. Evaluates quality, cosmetic appearance, and serviceability of all installed wood components and plastic laminate panels for scheduled repair. Works with wood, metal, and composite materials. Uses and maintains power tools along with other shop equipment. Measures and cuts vinyls, plastics, phenolics, composites, and metals accurately and with minimal waste. Assembles pins and glues cabinet shells made from polymer and metal honeycombs with high degrees of accuracy. Properly installs drawer slides, hinges, latches, and other aircraft-specific hardware in subassemblies. Disassembles and reassembles aircraft cabinetry, strips laminate or veneer covering from existing cabinets. Cuts fits and trims laminate or veneer coverings and repairs damaged cabinetry. Using samples and/or technical drawings, fabricates custom cabinetry. Upon request, designs and fabricates high-end, made-to-order interior accessories. Remanufactures interior cabinetry items that are beyond repair. Proficient in the use of FAA-certified materials and supplies to accomplish cabinetry tasks for use aboard C-40, VC-25, C-32, and C-37 aircraft, among others. Performs preventive maintenance, adjusts, and repairs industrial machines. Coordinates maintenance efforts with Production Supervisors and the Maintenance Operation Coordination Center. Documents discrepancies in the applicable form and inputs data into the Maintenance Information System (MIS). Assists in monitoring bench and shop stocks. Orders materials and supplies as required. Ensures compliance with the safety, housekeeping, tool control, and FOD prevention programs. Must be able to work day, swing, night, and/or weekend shifts as required. Shall perform other duties as may be assigned, including TDY and travel. Must maintain training qualifications. May be tasked to perform additional work center duties with provided training.Minimum QualificationsMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. High school education or equivalent. Shall have the skills and knowledge to perform cabinetmaking and repair procedures. Minimum of 3 years cabinetmaking experience, preferably working on aircraft interiors, is desired. Experience in aircraft cabinetry, local manufacturing procedures, and installation of components into aircraft using approved attachment points is desired. Working knowledge of procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials is required. May be tasked to perform additional work center duties with provided training. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain the clearance.
