A combination of formal education (e.g., degree or coursework in zoology, biology, animal science, or related field) and hands-on experience working with exotic or domestic animals in a zoological, aquarium, sanctuary or equivalent setting that demonstrates the necessary skills for this position. The Hoofstock Team manages one of the most diverse and exciting animal collections at the park—including one of the largest giraffe herds in the U.S., Grevy zebra, Indian rhinos, pygmy hippos, okapi, springbok, and a wide variety of primates like mandrills, gibbons, lemurs, and more.
