Invivotek

Invivotek is a 19,000 square foot brand new state-of-the-art Vivarium. Our modern barrier facility boasts a tunnel washer, rack washer, bulk autoclave, and vaporized hydrogen peroxide decontamination chamber. Our Vivarium is comprised of 10 animal holding rooms, 4 procedure rooms, and 2 BSL-2/quarantine rooms with adjoining anterooms. Personnel change entirely into scrubs and wear appropriate PPE. Invivotek has a clean and dirty corridor system for careful flow of animals, personnel, equipment, and supplies. All supplies and equipment are decontaminated and/or autoclaved. Also, we havestate-of-the-art environmental monitoring/controlling, differential pressure monitoring/controlling, and light control systems. Additionally, we have asophisticated security system including video cameras, motion detectors, glass breaks, biometrics, and card readers (including every animal room door inside the facility). All animal holding rooms contain an animal changing station and all procedure rooms contain a biosafety cabinet. The animals are housed in IVC or BCUracks with automatic watering. • PHS Policy on Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (OLAW)
• Animal Welfare Regulations – USDA Animal Welfare Act
• NIH Guidelines
