Description

DescriptionThe Academic Coordinator serves as executive support to the Division Chiefs of Cornea and Uveitis and Retina and is responsible for reviewing reports and synthesizing information for leadership. Under general direction, the role performs complex professional and analytical duties to provide staff assistance to department directors and other senior level management personnel. The position conducts special studies and assignments across a variety of administrative and operational procedures and topics, often with department wide, cross departmental, and major financial impact, and prepares clear written reports while presenting recommendations to senior management and internal and external groups. This role requires both breadth and depth in the application of relevant concepts and techniques, along with a thorough understanding of organizational policies and procedures, and the ability to perform a wide range of management analysis methods and processes.Salary Range: $32.20 - 51.36 HourlyQualificationsRequiredHigh School Diploma or GEDFive (5) years minimum Business operations and/or administration experienceAbility to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentialityAdvanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Analytical skills sufficient to interpret and apply University and campus policies; define problems: formulate logical conclusions, recognize alternativesStrong written skills to prepare accurate, concise, and clear reports and documentsCommunication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with university-wide and campus-wide Administrators, Deans, Department Chair, faculty and staff both orally and writtenPreferredKnowledge of academic and/or administrative structure of institutions of higher education#J-18808-Ljbffr
