Senior Staff Accountant

A public accounting firm is seeking senior staff accountants. Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced work environment, be detail oriented and reliable. They will be trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and open to different perspectives. Candidates must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed and teach others. A willingness to think several steps ahead of the work, strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to multitask, a desire to work hard, and a team player attitude are required.

This is an onsite position, and pay is based on experience. You may perform a variety of tax and accounting duties, use a computer to perform job-related tasks, input and maintain records, and conduct research as needed. You will provide assistance on special projects. Office hours are 8:30-6pm M-F.

Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; 2-4 years' experience in public accounting and the rigors of tax season; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; excellent attention to detail; the ability to prepare and present accurate and timely reports to management; proficiency in MS Office Excel and accounting software; experience with Creative Solutions, CFS Tax, and Lacerte a plus; the ability to process a manual set of books; fundamental knowledge of corporate taxation, business taxes, property taxes, and payroll; active participation in continuing professional education as required; and a positive attitude.
