2nd Shift Material Handler

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Material Handler to support our manufacturing operations. This position involves transferring raw materials to coating lines, moving finished products, and assisting with inventory management to ensure smooth production flow. The ideal candidate is punctual, self-motivated, capable of physical tasks, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-pull raw materials based on the production schedule.
• Sort and place materials on racks or in bins according to size, type, style, color, or location.
• Use RF barcode scanners and workstation systems to perform accurate transactions following FIFO procedures.
• Store and rotate adhesive-coated rolls requiring rotation process.
• Crate coated rolls as needed.
• Conduct cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Support coating line needs to ensure production flow and assist in inventory management and rotation.
• Transfer materials efficiently between warehouse and production areas.
• Support and coordinate with coating line staff as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with material handling or inventory rotation.
• Ability to use RF barcode scanners and workstation systems.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
• Capable of working independently with strong teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
