Client: Leading Entertainment Firm
Title: Accountant
Duration: 09 Months (Potential Extension/Conversion)
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90038 - Onsite
Pay Range: ($50 - $55) on an hourly basis

Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong background in general accounting, financial reconciliations, revenue recognition, and month-end close activities.
• The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with journal entries, General Ledger (GL) accounting, financial reporting, and analyzing large volumes of financial data.

 Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities, including revenue recognition and Trial Balance reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate General Ledger records.
• Analyze and reconcile financial accounts, cash balances, and clearing accounts.
• Review licensing agreements and calculate applicable fees based on contractual terms.
• Analyze foreign exchange variances, bad debt, and actual financial performance against forecasts.
• Support revenue tracking, financial reporting, and intercompany accounting.
• Assist with internal and external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX controls.
• Utilize accounting systems and Excel-based tools for financial analysis and reporting.

 Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5 years of relevant general accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of debits, credits, journal entries, and General Ledger accounting.
• Hands-on experience with account reconciliations, month-end close, and large financial datasets.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Willingness to work overtime during month-end/quarter-end close and occasional weekends.

 Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA certification.
• Experience with SA P General Ledger, Ora_cle, or Ora_cle Fusion.
• Experience with Media/Entertainment/Streaming/Gaming background.
• Experience in the entertainment, media, or content licensing industry.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition, licensing agreements, and financial control.
