Client Overview:
Our client is a well-established non-profit organisation that is looking to add an Accountant to their growing Finance team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$50k - $65k Depending on experience

Position Overview:
The Accountant is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting activities such as payroll, payables, receivables, cash transactions, month-end accounting, and financial reporting. The role also provides leadership to accounting support staff and helps ensure financial processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established guidelines.

Responsibilities of the Accountant:
  • Oversee payroll and daily accounting operations.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash activity, and reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Support audit preparation and maintain internal controls.
  • Resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Supervise accounting support staff.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
Required Experience/Skills for the Accountant:
  • 2 - 3+ years of accounting experience.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accountant:
  • Nonprofit or government accounting experience.
  • Experience with audits and process improvements.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is highly preferred.
