CAMS is on the search for a full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm Accountant. This position can be performed at home/virtually but MUST live in NC or SC.The CAMS Accountant is a key operational role within the company. The primary role of this position will be financial production for a portfolio of associations. The right candidate will build meaningful relationships within the organization and will work closely with Community Managers, key departmental heads, and accounting support staff. Client retention and relationship management will be a valuable component of the work required. The successful candidate will help ensure timely production based on contractual delivery date for all CAMS managed associations, while also ensuring quality, guidance and clarity for accurate financial reporting.The Ongoing Objectives of This Position Will IncludeDaily Bank ReconciliationsCreating journal entries in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)Preparing and producing technical, monthly financial reports while ensuring accuracy and on-time deliveryAssisting Community Managers with financial and accounting guidance through routine questions and regular supportOrganizing and submitting tax forms where applicableAssisting with annual audit activitiesCollaborating and working with cross-functional teams to include auditors, banking professionals, board members in associations that are managed by CAMS, CAMS Community Managers, CAMS Regional Vice Presidents, Accounting ServicesAbility to consistently meet individual and team deadlinesAssisting with special projects as neededRequirementsTechnical proficiency in accountingStrong proficiency in computer skills, MS Excel, adaptability of learning new software programsAbility to meet deadlines, high sense of accountability, and sense of urgencyHigh attention to detailExcellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks, projects and workloadAbility to learn quickly and independentlyAbility to present ideas and information in a clear, concise and well-organized mannerPreferred ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field1 to 2 years' experience in the Accounting fieldData management skills, advanced skillset in ExcelBenefits and SalaryThe salary for this position is $50,000.Paid Time OffCompany Paid HolidaysComprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans are available401(k)Life InsuranceShort-term DisabilityLong-term DisabilityAccident coverageCritical Illness coverageEmployee Assistance ProgramGrowth and Development OpportunitiesAt CAMS, we highly value professional growth and development, and that's why we provide our team with in‑house training opportunities and support those pursuing external industry‑related educational opportunities.
