At AM Pierce & Associates, it is our goal to provide equitable compensation to all employees.LocationWashington, D.C.Work EnvironmentOn-SiteDescriptionThe successful candidate will work with BSO-11 clients to:Examine/develop processes to support the accounting department to include new processes of Navy ERP.Participate in working groups related to G-Invoicing, Budget Execution Valuation (BEV), FERMC (UMT, AP AR, IGTs, and Tie-Points).Update and maintain standard operating procedures and policies.Perform data analysis related to funding, month end close, year-end close.Perform compilation and review of field level journal vouchers.Review and reconcile monthly treasury reports when compared to the general ledger.Understand the behavior and functionality of various general ledger accounts.Review and analyze trial balances for pre-close and post-close analysis.Review and research unmatched transactions.Support other accounting duties as needed.Education & ExperienceActive DoD Secret Clearance, required.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent degree.ALLOWABLE SUBSITIUTIONS: Associate's degree with eight (8) years of experience.7-10 years of accounting, audit, and/or Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) experienceNavy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) experienceIntermediate to Advanced Excel Skills to include performing financial analysis.Self-Driven and efficientDetail OrientedAnalytical SkillsGood Communication SkillsWorks well on team projectsTravelOn some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site.
