    Description

    Japanese manufacturing company seeks an Accounting Manager with HR Support – Richardson, Texas

    Location: Richardson, TX
    Salary: $90–100K (Base) plus bonus opportunity (not guaranteed)

    Hours: 8 AM – 5 PM / Onsite
    FLSA Status: Exempt

    SUMMARY
    This position is responsible for overseeing and supporting financial activities across all divisions, either directly or through subordinate supervisors.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Establishes or recommends major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies.
    Builds strong mutual understanding and supportive relationships with the parent company.
    Recommends modifications to corporate programs in accordance with local and federal laws and parent company policies.
    Reviews and prepares reports summarizing and forecasting business activities and financial positions, including income, expenses, and earnings.
    Directs preparation of budgets, reviews proposals, and prepares supporting documentation and justification with management and the parent company.
    Oversees Facilities Management activities.
    Oversees Human Resources Department activities.
    Advises management on insurance coverage for protection against property losses and liabilities.
    Prepares financial reports for management.
    Develops policies and procedures for account collections and credit extension.
    Provides timely reviews of the organization’s financial status and progress across programs and activities.
    Directs determination of depreciation rates for capital assets.
    Calculates monthly book and tax depreciation and enters related entries and adjustments.
    Calculates book and tax gain/loss on sale or disposal of fixed assets.
    Advises management on adjustments related to tax code revisions.
    Arranges and coordinates audits of company accounts.
    Arranges and coordinates preparation of Federal, State, and local tax returns and reporting.
    Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
    Establishes and maintains relationships with banks and financial institutions.
    Performs other duties as required.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Carries out supervisory duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    This role requires advanced technical knowledge and involves tasks requiring significant discretion and independent judgment. Candidates must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

    Required Education & Experience
    8–15 years of related experience in public and/or private accounting.
    Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    Experience with Microsoft GP or similar enterprise systems is a plus.
    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field

    LANGUAGE SKILLS
    English proficiency required.
    Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
    Strong advanced mathematical and accounting skills.
    High accuracy with ten-key operations.

    REASONING ABILITY
    Excellent analytical skills and sound judgment.
    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
    CPA preferred.

    Extended periods of sitting.
    Lifting files and documents up to approximately 10 pounds.
