We have an enjoyable, dynamic and collaborative work environment./li/ulpWhat youll do/pulliLead the North American month-end close process, including the review of journal entries, bank reconciliations, and accruals/liliPartner with the Consolidation accountant to ensure North American entities are properly consolidated and intercompany transactions are eliminated/liliPrepare and present regional financial statements (PL, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with detailed variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget)/liliEnsure all regional accounting practices comply with US GAAP, specifically focusing on ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 842 (Leases)/liliOversee the AP and AR functions, ensuring efficient cash application and vendor payment cycles that scale with our headcount growth/liliAct as the primary point of contact for external auditors during the annual audit, managing the PBC list and technical inquiries/liliAssist with the implementation testing of new accounting systems with the development of a SOX framework/liliOptimize accounting processes and assist with the eventual implementation of a SOX program/liliManage state and local tax compliance, including sales tax, property tax, and corporate filings across all US and Canadian jurisdictions/liliCoach and mentor staff on the team/liliAssist in special projects as needed/li/ulpWhat we are looking for/pulliGrowth-minded: Experienced in their speciality field but hungry for continuous learning and improvement/liliIndustry-seasoned: has already spent time supporting the electric power / cleantech industries/liliSelf-starter: willing to dig into new concepts, make recommendations with limited information, and be highly effective with minimal direction and supervision/liliSystems thinker: a love for efficiency, ensuring that processes work well together to streamline commercial operations/liliFocused: we are a small team with many competing priorities.
