    Accounting ManagerLocation: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)A highly regarded nonprofit organization headquartered in Baltimore is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and support accurate financial reporting in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.The organization serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs and is recognized for its commitment to quality services and financial excellence.Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will supervise accounting staff and play a key role in maintaining strong financial operations.ResponsibilitiesManage daily accounting operations and supervise accounting personnel.Coordinate the monthly close process.Review account reconciliations and journal entries.Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.Assist with preparation for annual audits.Maintain compliance with GAAP and organizational accounting policies.Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements.Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.Partner with operational leaders on accounting and reporting matters.Participate in finance system improvements and special projects.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.Four or more years of progressive accounting experience.Previous supervisory experience preferred.Nonprofit accounting experience preferred.Behavioral health, healthcare, human services, or intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) experience is preferred but not required.Strong knowledge of GAAP.Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and experience with accounting software.What You'll FindCompetitive compensation.Comprehensive benefits package.Hybrid work schedule (4 days onsite, 1 day remote).Opportunity to contribute to a financially sound nonprofit with a meaningful mission.Professional growth within a collaborative finance leadership team.#J-18808-Ljbffr
