RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

• 
  
• The Accounting Manager will help to oversee, hire, train and mentor a team of 3-4 accountants.
• 
  
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
• 
  
• The Accounting Manager will also review and handle month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• 
  
• Analyze financial information and bank reconciliations.
• 
  
• Prepare balance sheets, payroll, journal entries and GL.
• 
  
• Assist External auditors
• 
  
• Establish, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures
• 
  
• Assist with implementing new technical accounting standards
• 
  

Specific requirements for the Accounting Manager include:

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree of Accounting
• 
  
• 5 years progressive experience in accounting and finance; hands-on accounting managerial experience preferred
• 
  
• CPA preferred
• 
  
• Solid understanding of accounting processes and procedures
• 
  
• Ability to lead, train and develop staff
• 
  
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced working knowledge of Excel
• 
  
• Ability to work efficiently independently as well as part of a team
•
