Summary:Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to support a growing advisory focused team. This full-time onsite role is based in Madison WI with regular business hours. Responsibilities:Manage a portfolio of outsourced clients and serve as the main point of contact.
Oversee bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Lead month-end close, reconciliations, and financial workpaper preparation.
Prepare business and individual tax returns and provide tax planning advice.
Support client onboarding and assist with forecasting, budgeting, and special projects.
Use cloud-based systems such as QuickBooks Online, Fathom, and other advisory tools.
Coach and mentor junior team members while promoting best practices.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and expanded service offerings.
Qualifications:Active CPA or EA credential required.
Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Five or more years of accounting experience with client-facing work.
Public accounting background preferred.
Proficiency with cloud-based accounting platforms and QuickBooks Online required.
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in continuous improvement.
High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
