This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly close activities, managing transactional accounting processes, and ensuring strong financial controls across the organization.The Accounting Manager will partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, FP&A, and Leadership teams to support financial accuracy, operational reporting, and manufacturing cost visibility. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring strong technical accounting knowledge, operational awareness, and the ability to manage competing priorities within a high‑growth manufacturing environment.The ideal candidate has strong accounting experience within manufacturing, industrial, project-based, or engineered-to-order environments and is comfortable operating in both strategic and hands‑on capacities.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Operations & Financial ReportingLead day‑to‑day accounting operations including general ledger management, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting activitiesOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timelinessMaintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policiesReview and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedulesEnsure balance sheet and income statement accounts are properly maintained and reconciledCash Management & ReconciliationOversee daily cash reconciliation activities across multiple bank accounts and entitiesMonitor cash activity, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate reporting of cash transactionsSupport cash flow visibility and coordination with Finance leadershipMaintain strong controls surrounding cash management and banking activitiesManufacturing & Operational Accounting SupportPartner closely with Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to ensure proper coding, accruals, and financial treatment of operational expensesSupport manufacturing accounting activities including inventory, job costing, production costs, and operational reportingMaintain visibility into labor, material, overhead, and project‑related financial impactsSupport operational leaders with reporting and financial analysis tied to manufacturing performanceAccounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Transactional OversightOversee AP and AR activities to ensure timely processing, accuracy, and financial control complianceSupport resolution of invoice discrepancies, vendor issues, and customer payment mattersEnsure transactional accounting processes operate efficiently and accuratelyImprove workflow efficiency and standardization across accounting operationsAudit, Compliance & Internal ControlsSupport external audits, tax preparation activities, and financial reviews by providing required documentation and schedulesMaintain audit‑ready documentation and organized financial recordsStrengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and financial governance proceduresEnsure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirementsProcess Improvement & Systems OptimizationDrive process improvement initiatives focused on accounting efficiency, reporting accuracy, and operational scalabilityImprove accounting workflows, month‑end close timelines, and financial reporting structuresSupport ERP system enhancements and accounting process automation where applicableDevelop standardized reporting tools, schedules, and financial documentation practicesLeadership & Cross‑Functional CollaborationSupport development and mentorship of accounting staff where applicablePartner cross‑functionally with FP&A, Operations, HR, Supply Chain, and Leadership teamsCommunicate financial information clearly to operational stakeholders and leadership teamsSupport strategic initiatives tied to growth, operational scaling, and financial infrastructure developmentRequirementsRequired QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or project‑based environment.Working knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting principles.Proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP system preferred).Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations).Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.Strong communication skills and collaborative work style.Preferred QualificationsExperience with job‑costing or project accounting.Exposure to multi‑entity or multi‑state accounting environments.Familiarity with manufacturing inventory or cost accounting concepts.Interest in learning and growing into a senior accounting or financial analyst role.Benefits & PerksGTI Fabrication offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support employees and their families while providing long‑term career growth opportunities within a fast‑growing manufacturing organization.
