Accounting Manager | Miami, FL | $100K–$125K Base | Path to Controller

A rapidly growing company in the renewable energy industry is looking for an Accounting Manager to join its corporate accounting team in Miami. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role with a clearly defined path to Controller within approximately one year.
As the Accounting Manager, you'll partner closely with the Controller and CFO to help build a best-in-class accounting function while supporting a company experiencing significant growth and expansion across North America.

What You'll Do:
•    Lead the monthly financial close process and improve close efficiency 
•    Prepare financial reporting packages, variance analyses, and KPI dashboards for executive leadership 
•    Manage account reconciliations and maintain a strong internal control environment 
•    Support annual audits and ensure audit-ready financial documentation 
•    Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and accounting system enhancements 
•    Partner with FP&A and Operations on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and project accounting 
•    Research technical accounting matters and assist with tax compliance activities 

What We're Looking For:
•    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 
•    5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment 
•    Strong experience with month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls 
•    Advanced Excel skills with a process improvement mindset 
•    Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is highly preferred 
•    Experience with project accounting under ASC 360-10 strongly preferred
•    Power BI and Power Automate experience are highly preferred 
•    CPA or CPA-eligible is a plus 
•    Experience in energy, construction, infrastructure, or project-based accounting is highly desirable
