You will take ownership of the month end close, oversee various accounting functions, and ensure accurate financial reporting. You and your team will also be tasked with several account reconciliationsOversee the month end close process ensuring the accuracy of the data. Gaining an understanding of the results in order to present them and any specific variances to management.Responsible for some Technical accounting research and documentation as the business dictates as well as ensuring GAAP complianceMaintain current Internal Controls and provide recommendations when opportunities ariseFunction as the point person related to sharing financial results with Operations and other functional areas, responding to any questions from other non-Finance groupsWork with Manufacturing leadership to ensure accurate inventoryQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA is preferredCandidates with a public accounting background are encouraged to apply.Minimum of 5 years of accounting experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting softwareDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
