This role is a key member of the division leadership team and is responsible for leading the accounting function to excellence. This position goes beyond execution and transactional oversight. The Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely delivery of accounting processes, while also developing teammates, shaping culture, aligning with division priorities, and serving as a business partner across the organization.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead, develop, and grow the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvementCoordinate and ensure execution of all accounting processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory, and period‑end close/reportingEnsure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirementsDrive process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalabilityPartner with department leaders to provide financial insights, support decision‑making, and drive division performanceSupport budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and continuous improvement initiatives across the divisionLead implementation, communication, and interpretation of accounting and financial policies and proceduresProvide analytical support to improve cost, efficiency, and overall business performanceSafety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum of 3 years of accounting or finance‑related experiencePrior leadership or supervisory experience preferredDemonstrated ability to coordinate work, drive accountability, and deliver resultsPreferred Qualifications:CPA, CMA, or MBAManufacturing or cost accounting experienceExperience leading and developing teams in a fast‑paced environmentNucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug‑free workplace#J-18808-Ljbffr
