Location: San Jose, CA
Salary: $120,000 to $140,000 annually

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in San Jose. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, Billing, Accounts Payable, month-end close, and account reconciliations.

The Accounting Manager will supervise a team of three and work closely with the Controller and other departments to ensure accurate and timely accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Accounts Receivable and Billing team.

• Oversee customer billing, collections, and Accounts Receivable.

• Provide oversight of Accounts Payable activities.

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.

• Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.

• Monitor AR aging and help improve collections and DSO.

• Serve as a key internal resource for NetSuite ERP.

• Support Rental Series accounting and billing processes.

• Develop and improve accounting procedures, workflows, and internal controls.

• Partner with Sales, Rental, Service, and Operations to resolve accounting and billing issues.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, reporting, and special projects.

• Provide backup support to the Controller as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.

• At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience.

• Strong hands-on NetSuite experience.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, reconciliations, AR, AP, and general ledger accounting.

• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred:

• Rental Series experience.

• Experience working with equipment sales, rental, or service operations.

• CPA or CMA designation.
