Accounting Manager | Manufacturing | Direct Hire

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead daily accounting operations and support strategic financial initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing core accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while managing a small accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end close and financial reporting processes
  • Supervise Accounts Payable and accounting staff
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting
  • Oversee general ledger, account reconciliations, and cash management
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with leadership to support business growth and operational goals
  • Monitor tax filings and financial compliance activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • ERP experience such as SAP or Oracle
  • Manufacturing experience highly preferred
  • CPA is a plus
