Description
Fulcrum Construction is seeking an Accounting Specialist to provide accounts payable and administrative support for the corporate accounting group. This individual is responsible for the full cycle of overhead allocation and accounts payable processing. In addition, this person will work with the Controller and CFO to perform administrative duties for the department, including document scanning, routing and filing. This position has some opportunity for growth into additional accounting roles as the candidate develops and desires to take on more responsibility.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Audit and process invoices into the accounting system, confirm/seek appropriate approvals & process payments on a regular schedule
Ensure promptness of payments in accordance with contract terms, including mailing of checks.
Request, verify and maintain appropriate documentation from vendors
Obtain and enter W-9 information (& Certificate of Insurance) in AP system and process 1099 reporting
Enter invoices in Timberscan
Keep management informed regarding any ongoing issues with vendors
Process Expense Reports
Manage the corporate credit card program, processing weekly & monthly statements Assemble and provide AIA billings and enter billings with required backup into client portals.
Keep Project Managers/Management informed regarding any ongoing issues with Subs/Vendors
Distribute job cost reports to internal personnel as needed
Enter job cost corrections as directed
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
At least two years of experience in AR or AP cycle or a bachelor’s degree in accounting
Basic accounting/bookkeeping knowledge by way of education or experience
Capability to self-manage and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
Ability to investigate, analyze, and solve accounting problems
Good communication skills and the ability to relay information to internal and external parties
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (mainly Excel) required
Working knowledge of Timberline/Sage software preferred but not required
