Accounting Specialist/Coordinator

Location

You will work at the Walbridge Headquarters in Detroit, MI.

Preference will be given to candidates currently located in the Detroit Metropolitan area.

Responsibilities:

• Review and post accounting items and transactions to multiple companies
• Complete bank reconciliations for multiple companies
• Record daily cash transactions not initiated through A/P or A/R modules in accounting software
• Review/ Process monthly employee expense reports via the electronic expense reporting system
• Reconcile and record entries for credit card payments
• Analyze suspense accounts weekly
• Record Inter-company transactions
• Create monthly journal entries to record costs as needed
• Assist A/P with sending and reconciling EFT payments
• Prepare Quarterly and Year End Financial Reports for multiple companies
• Scanning and filing as needed

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or accounting or equivalent combinations of training and professional experience
• 2+ years of corporate accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word software programs
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CMIC and Textura
• Construction industry experience
