Penmac Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join a client's Fiduciary Team. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced office environment and enjoys both independent work and team collaboration.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience preferred, or an accounting degree
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel preferred
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Responsibilities
- Post and reconcile cash receipts and ACH transactions
- Balance and accurately post financial transactions
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash
- Process fund transfers and maintain accurate records
- Collect, verify, and maintain ACH information for retail agents
- Retrieve and research client information using internal software systems
- Support Accounts Receivable activities and assist with additional accounting-related tasks as needed
- Follow established company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy
