Our client, a Management/Consulting firm in Cambridge, MA is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor (Senior Accountant level) to oversee day-to-day accounting operations within a collaborative, family-office-style environment. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with senior leadership and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supervising staff, managing payroll, and supporting the overall financial operations of multiple entities.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily accounting operations and maintain financial records in QuickBooksManage month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial reportingProcess and oversee bi-weekly payroll through ADP Workforce NowSupport benefits administration, insurance renewals, and related payroll deductionsManage banking activities, including cash management, ACH transactions, and wire transfersPrepare internal financial reports and analyses for leadershipSupervise and mentor accounting staffMaintain and improve accounting procedures and internal controlsCoordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providersPartner cross-functionally to ensure timely and accurate financial informationSupport compliance, reporting requirements, and special projects as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized business environmentPrior supervisory or management experience requiredStrong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practicesExperience with QuickBooks and ADP Workforce Now requiredAdvanced Excel skills preferredStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesHigh level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential informationCompensationWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and consider qualified applicants for employment regardless of race, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, color, religion, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other protected factor.#J-18808-Ljbffr
