Accounting Supervisor Tax

TAX SUPERVISOR

 

Summary:

 

Our client is a full service public accounting firm that is consistently ranked as a top place to work in the South Bay.

 

Our Torrance office is currently seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, high-energy individual to join our Firm as Tax Supervisor.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

 

1. Complex tax return preparation and review (individual, corporation, partnership, fiduciary, and exempt organization)
2. Prepare tax projections
3. Assist with reviewed and compiled financial statements for clients as required
4. Tax research
5. Correspond with tax authorities for notices and/or audits
6. Train and develop staff accountants
7. Experience preparing payroll, 1099’s and sales and use tax is a plus

 

Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:

 

1. CPA
2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
3. Minimum of 8 years’ experience in public accounting
4. Proficient with Lacerte tax software
5. Strong bookkeeping skills
6. Strong knowledge of Quickbooks
7. Ability to meet multiple deadlines
8. Must be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism and have attention to detail
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills
10. Must be able to work independently
