Role: Accounts Payable Invoice Specialist

Location: Washington, D.C. (5 days onsite)
Pay: $25.00 – $29.00 / Per Hour

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Invoice Specialist to support high-volume invoice processing and vendor payment operations. This role will focus on ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing within the accounts payable function.
Responsibilities
• Process invoices by matching to purchase orders and supporting documentation
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations and support month-end close activities
• Assist with payment processing including wires and disbursements
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
• Provide general support to accounts payable operations and assist with ad hoc projects
Requirements
• 2+ years of accounts payable or invoice processing experience
• Experience with invoice matching, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (Workday preferred)
