Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist

• 
  
• Drive AP accuracy and timeliness by overseeing all invoices, check requests, and credit card receipts through a centralized Outlook AP inbox
• 
  
• Review, process, and allocate invoices against multiple contracts, ensuring strict compliance with required signatures and documentation
• 
  
• Set up new vendors, ensure collection of all necessary paperwork, and manage documentation integrity for ongoing and year-end reporting
• 
  
• Maintain clear, responsive communication with internal teams to resolve inquiries and prioritize AP deadlines
• 
  
• Lead ongoing improvements in AP processes and support upcoming automation/technology transitions
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• 5+ years full-cycle accounts payable experience, ideally in dynamic nonprofit or contract-driven settings
• 
  
• Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, SUMIF formulas, file uploads)
• 
  
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex cost allocations and high-detail documentation
