Accounts Payable Specialist Key Responsibilities

• 
  

• Process and manage a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding, approvals, and timely payments.

• Oversee invoice workflows, monitor outstanding items, and maintain organized AP records.

  
  
• 
  

• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and vendors to investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies.

• Support payment processing, vendor reconciliations, and month-end accounting activities.

• Identify opportunities to streamline AP procedures and improve workflow efficiency.

  
  
• 
  

Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Specialist

• 
  

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on accounts payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.

  
  
• 
  

• Strong understanding of invoice processing, coding, payment procedures, and approval workflows.

  
  
• 
  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with accounting or ERP systems.

  
  
• 
  

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

• Construction industry experience and familiarity with Sage Intacct, TimberScan, or similar AP automation platforms are preferred
