Accounts Payable Specialist As our Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be a key player accurately processing invoices, verifying them, and they are paid on time, while reconciling account balances, maintaining detailed financial records, and supporting smooth cash flow management.Your Impact: Enter, code, process, and schedule high-volume invoices and regular check/ACH runs, ensuring timely payments in line with company policiesCreate and maintain vendor profiles, collect W‑9s, verify IRS data, and support annual 1099 filingsMatch invoices to open commitments, collaborate with project managers on overages, and resolve discrepanciesPromote diligence in invoice approvals through electronic workflows, track bottlenecks, and escalating issues to managementRespond promptly to vendor inquiries, assist project teams with invoice/payment questions, and prepare AP schedules for auditsOther duties as assigned.Who you are:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance or Accounting, or related area2+ years of experience working in Accounting or FinanceExperience in AEC industry is preferred but not requiredExperience working with a union workforce is preferred but not required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Exceptional knowledge of construction accounts payable functions Solid understanding of and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles and procedures to a variety of accounting audits, transactions, and problems Experienced in problem solving with ability to recognize issues and deal with them directlyWhy Guarantee?Benefits, Compensation, Community Involvement and Employee AppreciationEach member of the Guarantee team is essential to building our successful future.
