Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: West Chester, OH

Pay: $20-$22 per hour

Schedule: First Shift, Monday-Friday

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their accounting team in West Chester, Ohio. This is a great opportunity for someone with accounts receivable, billing, collections, or general accounting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will assist with day-to-day AR activities, including processing customer payments, maintaining account records, researching discrepancies, and communicating with customers regarding outstanding balances.

Responsibilities

• Process and accurately apply customer payments

• Monitor accounts receivable balances and outstanding invoices

• Contact customers regarding past-due accounts and payment status

• Research and resolve billing and payment discrepancies

• Assist with account reconciliations

• Maintain accurate customer account and payment records

• Respond to customer questions regarding invoices, balances, and payments

• Assist with generating invoices, statements, and AR reports

• Update account information within the company's accounting or ERP system

• Partner with internal accounting and customer service teams to resolve account issues

• Maintain organized documentation and accurate financial records

• Provide additional accounting support as needed

Qualifications

• Previous accounts receivable, billing, collections, or accounting experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Comfortable communicating professionally with customers regarding account balances and payments

• Good organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to research and resolve discrepancies independently

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer systems

• Experience with accounting or ERP software is a plus

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
