In our time of Company growth, we seek an Accounts Receivable Specialist.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for identifying and collecting balances due from third party carriers, submitting charges to insurance carrier, following up on charges submitted to third party carriers when appropriate, and writing off bad debt of accounts after approved by the manager, supervisor, and/or Director, Revenue Cycle.

Work Location: Bradenton, FL

What you need to bring to this role:

• High School Graduate or GED required
• Must be able to organize data for easy retrieval
• Must have working knowledge of medical terminology
• Must have working knowledge with ICD-9 and CPT coding (minimum 2 years)
• Must have working knowledge in Managed Care, Government Payers, and Private Payers
• Must have experience and/or education in computer data entry
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Must have working knowledge of computers, calculators and typewriters

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for identifying and collecting balances due from third party carriers, submitting charges to insurance carrier, following up on charges submitted to third party carriers when appropriate, and writing off bad debt of accounts after approved by the manager, supervisor, and/or Director, Revenue Cycle. He/she is responsible for gathering and disseminating of information related to billing and reimbursement as well as implementing policies, procedures, and protocols to facilitate the needs of the organization with billing and reimbursement related issues. The Accounts Receivable Specialist provides training to staffed clinicians as assigned and assists the Supervisor and other departmental personnel as needed.
