POSITION OVERVIEWThe Accounts Receivable Specialist supports the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and is responsible for a variety of functions within the daily operations including, but not limited to collections, billing, audits, as well as customer service and guest inquiries.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:Communicate directly with guest and credit card processors in order to resolve disputesPrepare and send email and/or upload general billing to guests and wholesalersMonitor the Aging Report to maintain account progressProcess vendor setupPursue collections of past due accountsRefers overdue accounts to collectionsProcess travel agent commissions in preparation for payment to travel agents (TA)Help rectify any billing disputes between internal departments and guest and wholesalers' discrepanciesProcess and allocations of daily payments from all sourcesMaintain up-to-date information and comments on all client accounts; Ensure documentation is accurate, thorough and focused on detailProcess and allocate credit card charges/refunds for guest inquires disputes and skipsResearch and respond to all credit card retrieval and chargeback inquiriesTemporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessaryQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
