A stable and growing manufacturing organization is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a 3-month assignment (possibly longer).
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for billing, cash receipts, and collections as well as the potential of additional Staff Accountant responsibilities including reconciliations. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and prior experience in a manufacturing or high-volume environment.
Accounts Receivable Specialist Responsibilities:- Daily billing, invoice verification and posting to the General Ledger
- Cash applications and reconciliations, accurately applying wires and credit memos while researching and resolving discrepancies
- Lead collections efforts, ensuring customers adhere to payment terms
- Prepare and distribute Accounts Receivable Aging Reports
- Set up and maintain new customer accounts including credit checks
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Warehouse and Accounting teams
- Assist Accounting department where needed including reconciliations
Accounts Receivable Specialist Requirements:- Minimum of 2-3 years of full-cycle Accounts Receivable experience
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite, etc)
- Experience with reconciliations
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- A positive “can do” attitude
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Accounting studies a plus
