The City of Frankfort is looking for an Administrative Aide who combines administrative excellence with a passion for public service. This role requires timely and conscientious service, managing departmental expenditures, optimizing digital record retention, and ensuring seamless, professional communication with the public.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Fiscal Oversight: Manages the full lifecycle of departmental expenditures, including requisitions, purchase orders, and budget tracking to ensure fiscal responsibility.
Digital Records Management: Handles the organization and retention of departmental records, assisting with the transition from legacy filing into digital systems.
Executive Support: Provides comprehensive administrative assistance to the City Clerk and City Manager, including the drafting of correspondence, reports, and public-facing documents.
Public Customer Service: Serves as a primary point of contact for the City; manages call routing and reception with a focus on professional communication, call resolution, and public service excellence. Assists with customer service needs in other departments, if needed, to ensure constituent responsiveness.
Public Transparency: Assists with Open Records Requests, ensuring compliance with legal timelines and transparency standards.
Logistics & Communications: Handles departmental mail, room and meeting scheduling, and assists with the preparation of materials for municipal boards and commissions, to include proof reading.
Other Duties as Needed.
ESSENTIAL COMPENTENCIES
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work during off hours (evenings and weekends) for assistance during board meetings, if needed.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma. College degree or coursework preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Three years of clerical or administrative experience desired.
Work is typically performed in an office setting at a desk. Occasionally it may be necessary to perform work in other areas.
