Duties: Employee in the position provides administrative and technical work. Responsibilities include support to the Planning, Zoning and other boards and commissions. Employee will assist in the coordination, and administration of the department, and performs all other related work as required.
Essential Functions
Performs a variety of administrative and planning duties; and assists the public with routine inquiries and requests for information.
Prepares and advertises public hearing notices; meeting agendas, distributes plans, applications, and other planning related documents.
Assists in the preparation, and submission of planning, and research projects; collects data, and information for planning projects.
Coordinates the preparation, and distribution of documents pertaining to changes in the City's zoning ordinances.
Serves as liaison between city departments, applicants, Board members, and the department's land use planner.
Qualifications
A candidate for this position should have a Bachelor's Degree in City or Urban Planning or related field; one- (1) to three- (3) years land use or city planning experience; any equivalent combination of education and experience.
