DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The City of Houstons Center for Public Leadership & Learning (CPLL) is committed to developing public servants through innovative learning, leadership development, and organizational excellence initiatives. CPLL serves employees across the City by providing learning programs, leadership development opportunities, and workforce solutions that support organizational success and exceptional public service.
CPLL is seeking a customer-focused Administrative Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and community partners entering our learning center. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment while supporting the daily operations of the Center and the Office of the Chief Learning Officer (CLO). The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional customer service.

WORKING CONDITIONS
There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
One year of administrative experience is required. Professional administrative experience may be substituted for the above education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
